The rain made it difficult on Donington Park

Monday we were ready to tackle the next track in the season of the Ignition: Donington Park. While the rain was pouring down the english track, the engines started to warm up and do the first few laps of the track. The test race right before was worth the wait for the spectators, that paid their tickets: Drivers having to adapt to the changing weather rapidly. The dry practice laps and qualifying showed a very different picture, than the actual test race, which was won by Mike Van der Burgt in his green Burgt Racing livery.

Going into the official race right after, Van der Burgt was the clear favorite, but the second qualifying showed quite the difference in times:

Enot (Yuri Lobkov) – 1:14:699
Mike Van der Burgt – 1:15:123
Klesber – 1:15:398
WMDRMartin – 1:15:681
M00ter – 1:16:935

The race was largely dominated by WMDRMartin, who had the upper hand, while the rain was still going and due to Mike Van der Burgt, spinning out mid race, when the track was drying up, Martin could put the car over the line in 1st. m00ter unfortunately had a bad race day – in the test aswell as in the official race – finishing 10 seconds behind the 4th place: Klesber. The podium was rounded up by Mike Van der Burgt and Enot, Yuri Lobkov.
