“A straight up broken car” | Happe has a terrible race at Torino

“Valve issues, braking problem, it had it all”, said Happe right after getting out of the car storming back to the pits. “It feels like I drove the race car, that finished Nancy-Seichamps, JUST before it went over the finish line.”

Happy waiting for a miracle – the car has given up

Happe is devastated. The last race of the year with issues that were never seen before. “The car made itself un-reliable in just half a day, is that sabotage? Granted, we made some changes to the car right before the race and I made mistakes, but this goes beyond what i expected.”

a very close call – a collision sends cars into all directions

Last time Feldmühle… Last time Happe?

Right afterwards, after the anger had settled, we caught Siegfried in a calm moment right outside his room and over a beer, he told us the future plans:

“Of course there have been talks with other interested parties, but nothing concrete. After today, i cannot blame any sponsor, that doesn’t want to sign a contract for me. We finished, granted. We learned a lot, also true. But the car was all over the place and so was I. Lets leave the Feldmühle decision out of this and look into the future.”

“I can confidently tell you, that this will not be the end of my racing career just yet. We have had talks with other new businesses here in Germany, that would love the idea of sponsoring a seat and getting themself involved in motosport in general, but for the start of 1936, that is not achieveable. I will run under my own money for the next 2 races. After that, a new Company, brand new on the german market will hopefully fill the place and pay the seat.”

If there is more infos on the matter of the current season – you will see it here!
