After the spectacular Eifelrennen on the Nordschleife Saturday, the bags are packed and we move on to Pau. Feldmühle, very interested in the future of Siegfried Happe decided to pay for the repairs from the last race and deliver the car to Pau, where it is currently prepared for the upcoming Formula Libre race.
As Professional and Gentlemen drivers will both participate in this race – Happe is already nervous:
We have our trusty Bugatti T51A, which so far has been proven to be very reliable. On this city track, the Bugatti actually makes up a good amount of time in the turns, but after a few practice laps, we realized, that the 3 years of the car and the nature of being a Voiturette is shown clearly. We are 15 seconds off the front runners, which do drive Grand Prix cars, but it’s still quite demoralizing to see these kinds of times, while we have to push everything out of the car.
The setup is not ready yet and in terms of tyres, we didn’t test everything. The closer we are to Saturday, the better the times should get, but I’m unsure, if we can find much more on this track.

Another good result on this race could convince Feldmühle, current sponsor for Happes endavour, to invest in the long term success for their driver coming 1936.
