After the beautiful trackday on Spa, Muffler Shop Racing has packed their bags and moved back to Saxony, where they now officially reveal their factory near Dresden.

The future practice steps of Muffler Shop Racing will be limited to Germany for now: As we have already seen a small trackday in Hohenstein-Ernstthal (Sachenring) and in Kelba, the very close Schleitzer Dreieck in the Thüringen area might prove to be a good practice right before we head to the race weekend on Spa. What is currently known as the “Schleitzer Dreieck” is a circuit, that is, for most of the german tracks used as a motorcycle race track. 2 years ago (1923), the track saw its opening on the 10th of June and Muffler Shop Racing is now eager to test the track in it’s full layout with the C6 Laboratoire.
Why head home, when the race weekend is on the way?
French automobile producer Renault was present at the rainy trackday on Spa and offered an old automobile as a present. Trompke immediatly saw the opportunity, getting to know an older car on known roads could prove to be a challenge, but can also improve the handling of the current faster car, the C6 Laboratoire. A quick picture of the generous present (still hidden just a bit) of Renault:

While this car is almost 20 years old at this point, it is rooted in Grand Prix Racing and should be handeled with the care it deserves. In the next days, The Saxony track near the headquarters will see both cars doing a few laps, while we got special permission to close down the roads in Thuringia to test the relatively fresh Schleitzer Dreieck for its nooks and crannies and a video of that will follow very soon!
That’s it for now, but you will get more!
Muffler Shop Racing is here to stay, even with Trompke being the only driver at the moment. Rescent pictures of the headquarters are hopefully enough for now, but stay tuned. An interesting driver for Miramas is already in the talks about a contract. STAY TUNED!
