(Golden Era – RACE) Better than we expected! The C6 goes over the line!

And with only one major hit, that will cost the team 5000 Mark, the C6 Laboratiore of Muffler Shop Racing, driven by Mick Trompke finished the race after about 2 hours of Feldbergring!

“The car held together over the duration of the race and we’re very happy with that. That 5 kilometer stone put a dent into our car and it will be pricey to replace the parts. Financially, finishing this race gives us a bit of money and we will maybe invest that into a 2nd car and driver soon. Who knows, we might see 2 Voisins on Spa?

While we wait for Spa to arrive, Trompke is adamant, that the car and driver need more practice overall: “The car felt good on Feldbergring, but we need to be ready for all kinds of failures on Spa. If you want to see more of our Voisin, we will use the down time until Spa to train several tracks around the area of Germany. Close to our factory in Dresden, Germany we will be closest to Hohenstein-Ernstthal, where a new track is going to be announced in 2 years time. The plan is to get some straight line speed out into the car and see how it holds up. On the other hand, we want to push the car for turns aswell, so we signed up for a day on the Kyffhäuser hillclimb in Thüringen, Germany aswell. Getting to know the car after that, we decided it’s time to show our car in a practice day on the newly opened Solitude circuit in Stuttgart. These 3 track will provide a lot of valuable information for the future of Muffler Shop Racing. Looking at Spa, we will lack the straight line speed for sure compared to the other cars, but if we can make it as safe as possible – that’s the way to go”.

Successfully home after Feldbergring
