[Interview] Are we ready for Jeddah, drivers?

“no laps, track I haven’t driven in maybe 3 years, and even then it was on an F1 game so doesn’t help, long story short, I’m cooked, just going to try survive the race but the Italians will make that difficult. at least I’m not the only one with little to no laps.” ~Tyler Schlebusch

“Ill be just driving my own race somewhere in the back and try to survive because its street circuit and im so much off the pace” ~ Michal Šulc

“I have to say, putting gravel everywhere is definetly interesting. The track felt bad at the start of practicing, but it has gotten better. The race will be dangerous, with both the gravel and walls being an instant death sentance. I don’t expect this to be a normal race and just hope to finish in a good position by avoiding incidents.” ~Wesley Van der Burgt

“I was not feeling confident with my first practice laps, but after doing some changes to our setup I feel pretty fast and will go for as many points as I can. My thoughts about the race, it is one hell of a circuit. The curbs are realy dangerous, but thats not the worst. The worst are the gravel traps, first off all, the real Jeddah doesn’t have gravel so I was very surprised this Jeddah version does. Second the gravels feels like ice so anyone who just barely touches the gravel will go straight into the wall and will ruin their race. This will be a very interesting race, so lets see what the outcome will be.” ~Mike Van der Burgt

“Looking forward to Jeddah as its one of my favourite tracks” ~Simon Durkac

“With the extremely good race results at hockenheimring (imo) I am positive that Simon and Mitch will do a good job at Jeddah” ~Nick Van der Meijde

“This track is going to challenege a lot of the drivers, me included. The run off areas are so slick i almost wish it was just a wall. The fact we are going to be going wheel to wheel makes me think Nick is going to have his work cut out on the destructor championship. Additionally, my area is having internet issues so I hope those are resolved by tomorrow.” ~Mitch Fusco

“On my part, I’m working on race pace and getting consistent laps. I feel though that the podium is on the cards as always and we’ll work hard to score good points for both championships” ~Matt Contreras

“If I’m racing, I hope I’ll finish. I’d hope not to be last place” ~Matei Olteanu

“Very difficult and dangerous track but i personally love it and the special livery turned out pretty good too! italczech has good hopes for jeddah, if we survive first few laps without going straight into a wall at least.” ~Daniele Tallarino

“First 2 laps give all the room in all the battles. People WILL crash and you’ll win positions just by surviving. If you watch my Monza race you’ll see I was yealding everywhere and “lost” many seconds in the first 2/3 laps but that’s the only viable strategy when you start from the midfield and back.

Tight and twisty track + little run off areas = mayhem

The stewards will be very busy 24 hours from now…” Evan Ghelos

“I did 0 practice and i have no setup so its either im loosing everything or gaining everything tomorrow” ~Gioele Frisa

“It’s gonna be madness and everyone knows that, but we will try to survive. I feel this is possibly the trickiest circuit on the calendar, and there will be blood for sure. This time around our aim will be solely to avoid as many collaterals as possible.” ~Claudio Diana
