[Interview] “then I spun and got stuck” – drivers reflect on Suzuka

“It was okay, pretty clean race for me, i didnt do that many mistakes and i would say it was my best tws race so far. Suzuka was good but i hope Zolder will be better for me” ~Michal Sulc

“In my opinion, not well. my race start was really rough, I spun in T1 on L2 and lost a lot of places then I got to around P7 but then I spun and got stuck, going into the pits, I was too fast and got a DT, P15 was not ideal but at least I finished the race which is better then I expected, Zolder will hopefully be much better for the team as a whole” ~Tyler Schlebusch

“For me it went beyond my expectations. I couldn’t believe that I finished P2 after that poor qualifying. My strategy worked out in the end and my pace was better than in practice. Consistency strays key in my race strategy. Of course I wanted to go and catch Gavars but this wasn’t possible, he was too fast for me. I had fun and enjoyed the race.” ~Mike Van der Burgt

“For me it didn’t go so well. I’m still sad about how the first lap went. After I spun and became last, I lost too many places for a good finish. When I pitted, I selected the wrong tires. Since I need to select them as fast as possible in the menu. This made me lose unnecessary time, though I don’t think it mattered in the end result. I hope the next races go better and I don’t mess up t1 again myself.” ~Wesley Van der Burgt

“Pretty well, P1 was the bare minimum after Magione, Junior team did really well too with a P4 by Actiņš. With Kudlin finally waking up from his slumber, the goal for Zolder is clear, 1-2.” ~A. E. Gavars

“It went alright. I was disappointed I didn’t score points, but my mistakes were completely my own. As a positive team LGI got its first valuable points from Simon’s performance.” ~Mitch Fusco

“Had a blast, but made my own mistakes that made me miss out on the fight for p5 but im still satisfied with my performance and hope to iron out the mistakes for zolder.” ~Simon Durkac

“Great start- gained positions- good speed. 5th lap- nightmare happened. Rest of the race- ruined.” ~James Flannagan

“Had to prepare the race on the last due to some busy moments in the week. Got a normal start, choose again the wrong tyres for the race then got spun and hit again, but finished in 6th, we’re looking for Zolder with another mentality.” ~Christian Potenza

“Suzuka was not good for me, I wasnt concetrated enought and car was sliding in almost every corner. This will be one of the worst 3 races for me.” ~Lukas Gruber

“Awesome! 9 places gained starting with the qualy ban disadvantage. I hope more races will be somewhat good as this in the future” ~Daniele Tallarino

“The drive throughs were disappointing for me i should have been fighting for P2. Nice to still be in the points though. Feels like a real shame when i felt fast and comfortable. Lobkov had a fantastic result and i think we worked well together on preparation. I’m looking forward to Zolder.” Yates

“suzuka was a shitshow, and not to be rude i don’t really want to talk about it from my pov this time, im unsure if im even getting points, this was a shit race and i am aiming for zolder now. the season goes on and i can’t stop to think about what went wrong on suzuka, new track, new chapter, new me and this time im pushing the podium like never before.” ~Gioele Frisa
