The Alba gets a good start on Prinzenpark | Finale on Oran Park

Mondays race on Oran Park was the last of the week and a lot of drivers have definitely memorized the track by now. But it wasn’t without crashes. Mick Trompke saw an opportunity in T2, when V. Grigoryan in front of him set his breaking point a bit too early, which resulted in Trompke punting Victor Grigoryan off the track. While Mick was completely at fault, we noticed a bit of weaving from Victor just beforehand, that could’ve been prevented. As far as we know, both drivers have talked it out in the paddock.

The Spark Plug also saw the last day on Oran Park for the Dallara. While we are continuing the season on Brands Hatch, the finale ended with 9 people going over the finishing line with Aditya Surve getting 3rd place and K. Orlovskyi getting a race win, after he had to retire the car the day before.

Albas battling it out in Magdeburg, THE Intake – Race 1

Mikus Actiņš and Mick Trompke had a heated bet before the race. Who will win? Actiņš, very comfortable in his abilities on track, set a qualifying time 2 seconds faster then Trompke and proved, that he could win this bet easily. The grid at the start was 3 wide, with Janak, Actiņš and Trompke preparing for their engine for the green flag. After the red lights were out, Trompke immediatly went into the back and got punted into the hayballs on the first straight.

The hunt for some places was on and Trompke wasn’t really gaining anything on Actiņš, who was fighting it out with Gavars at the half way mark of the race, when the fight took a bad turn. Battling to the start finish line, Gavars pushed Actins into the pitwall, ending the race for both of them prematurely. The last few words by Mikus were his curse:

Mick Trompke is 30 seconds behind me, I have zero pressure. ~Mikus Actiņš

While only 4 drivers went over the finish line, Mick secured himself 2nd place, while Janak, fastest man on the track for this race, very comfortably went over the line in first place, with one lap to spare behind him.
