At 19:00 it was time for the green flag and the 20 cars started at the bayside.

Tallarino taking out Gruber results in the definitive retirement of Tallarino soon after, Gruber continued racing, but from way back in P19.

Before the 5th lap is at an end, Surve goes into first position, leaving Gavars behind.

And with that, the test was a full success. 18 drivers went over the line, 2 retired their car. The next race will be on Saturday and will first feature a few changes. The tyre manufacturer of the series “Kumho” brought in a new test-tyre that will be tested in the next race on Bathurst (Mount Panorama). What we can already tell is that they will degrade faster, so pitting might happen more often on track. which changes strategies for sure. If the test will be a success and said tyres will be used for the forseeable future will be determined on Sunday, the day after the race.
