Burgt Racing secures “The Spare Tyre”, Stattin makes a debut and dominates “The Intercooler”

the only way i won was by [the] racestrategy “make no mistakes”
~Mike Van Der Burgt

And with that strategy, Mike finished the race 2 seconds before Salvador at Bridgehampton in his Ferrari 330 P4. This clearly shows, that Mike is ready to get his hands dirty with other disciplines of racing. While the track draw for the Tatuus World Series, Mike was already waiting for the opportunity to get into setups and soon after the drop of the track for pre-season testing, Miami bayside, he and his brother already did some test laps on side. At this point the fastest lap is set by Mike Van Der Burgt himself (01:57.870).

Statting dominates the grid on the Intercooler

The Smiling Monkeys had their debut on this Saturdays Intercooler and they cashed in! While Kirnoz (Project Evil Cookies) seemed to be impossible to beat, this Saturdays round at Spa showed otherwise. Stattin had a beautiful battle in the earlier parts of the race, going round the outside at Fagnes, pressuring Kirnoz heavily. A side by side battle was fought and in the end, Stattin could break free from the battle and make himself some room. He continued to better himself on the track, finding his groove, getting the apexes right and lapping faster and faster. With the fastest lap of 02:18.725, he was almost a second per lap faster and could make himself a very comfortable lead, that he would hold until the end.

He issued a day after his brilliant win, that he is looking for a teammate to maybe join the empty spot in the Tatuus World Series, which would make the vibe of the series much more competitive.
