G. Frisa joins Latvian Junior Team

Talks after the Nemuno race were held and lead to the very unusual decision of A. E. Gavars, leader of the Latvian Lighting Locomotives, to invite G. Frisa into the Junior Team. He issued the following statement:

The Latvian Junior Locomotives have made the bold decision to welcome Gioele Frisa to their team, despite the controversy surrounding his collision with me during the final round of the “Friendship Cup” just two days ago. While the incident raised eyebrows and sparked debate, the team sees Gioele’s undeniable talent, competitive edge, and potential to strengthen their lineup as outweighing the backlash. This move signals the Locomotives’ focus on future success, prioritizing skill and determination over past rivalries, while trusting Gioele to channel his intensity into helping the team achieve its goals

Till that point, Gavars made a point, that the Junior Team was looking for a driver, because the 2nd Junior driver Kristaps, Mikus brother of all people, was dropped due to personal difficulties:

The Latvian Junior Locomotives are seeking a new second driver to partner with Mikus Actiņš due to challenges with his current co-driver, who happens to be his brother. Despite their familial bond, the pairing has struggled, with his brother lacking the motivation and skill required to meet the demands of junior locomotive racing. This mismatch has hindered performance and team synergy, prompting the search for a more driven and capable co-driver who can match Mikus’s ambition and elevate the team’s competitiveness. The decision reflects the Locomotives’ commitment to ensuring their drivers have the best possible support to achieve success.

We will see how are far the preparations and changes for LLL and their 2nd team LJL go, but for now they are settled with 4 drivers.
